Fiber Arts Exhibit

The Texas Museum of Fiber Arts is pleased to announce the Deep in the Art of Texas Fiber Arts Exhibit over the Memorial Day week end, May 24th , 25th, and 26th, 2008. Fiber Arts, fine arts, refreshments, and speakers are arranged for the weekend exhibit.
The annual event provides a social, cultural weekend of fine arts with featured speakers at 1:30 and 3:00 both Saturday and Sunday. As part of the May 2008 program, TMFA will present a slide show and lectures on Fiber Art. In conjunction with this, works of fiber artists will be on display. All events are open to all and free of charge.

Parking is available in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage at 1201 San Jacinto located between Trinity and San Jacinto Streets at 12th and 13th streets. Parking is free for the first two hours and $.75 for each half hour thereafter (maximum daily charge: $6.00); accessible parking is available with accessible routes to the Capitol. Metered spaces are available throughout the complex.
Rates are subject to change during special events on weekends.

EXHIBIT:
Fiber Artists from all parts of Texas will exhibit 26 works of art in silk, cotton, wool, leather, beading, plastics, and paper.

Children’s weaving workshop is available.
